Electronic Transport in C60 Peapods
Specialekollokvium af Anders Eliasen
Abstract
Carbon nanotubes have been investigated thoroughly for more than
a decade. Lately, more complex structures have been found, including
the so-called peapods, a class of
carbon nanotubes encapsulating smaller molecules or atoms. In this
talk, experiments on carbon nanotubes encapsulating C60
fullerene molecules are presented. We have performed electron transport
measurements on individual peapods with focus on the quantum dot-like
behaviour at temperatures below one Kelvin.
