Nano-Science Center > Seminars & Events > 10 year anniversary

In 2001, the Nano-Science Center was established at the University of Copenhagen, and since 2002 the Nanoscience study programme has educated more than 80 masters students and 10 PhDs. On september 5th, it was exactly 10 years since the foundation of the center. We wish to mark this occasion with a 10 year anniversary seminar.

In this timeperiod, nanoscience has been and continues to be a field in rapid development. Much has changed, and the seminar will include talks giving perspective on the monumental developments and future prospects, on an international scale as well as within the scientific groups associated with Nano-Science Center.

 The seminar will be held June 8th, 2012, and will be highly relevant for both Danish and international students, researchers in nanoscience and related fields, companies utilizing or wishing to utilize nanotechnology, as well as the general public.

The schedule includes a projected 7 talks, given by prominent nanoscience researchers, both local and international, representatives from the industry, as well as students from the Nanoscience study programme. There will also be a poster sessions, a tour of the laboratories, dinner and good opportunities for socializing and networking. 

 The seminar is conclusion of a series of events under the banner NSC 10 Year Anniversary. Please see the schedule to the right for events such as lectures and talks in the following months!
