External financing
The Nano-Science Center attracts external funds from both private funds and public research programmes. Nationally it is especially funds from research councils and large funds and internationally from the EU’s Framework Programmes, from which the center has received funds.
Since its formation in 2001, the center has received around 300 million Danish Crowns (approximately 40 million €) in external funding pledges, including seven active EU projects under the 6th Framework Programme and has been chosen as coordinator for a project under the 7th Framework Programme, SINGLE. In addition the center has been a partner in numerous projects.

The funding is made up for each year and the grant is stated with the whole amount the year the funding pledge is received:
