Collaboration with researchers and students
With a focus on both scientific and application potential, the Nano-Science Center would like to help businesses and researchers work together to give developing ideas room to grow. That is why we have 30 collaboration projects between the Nano-Science Center and Danish businesses. These projects occur at many levels from concrete collaboration on bachelor projects up to jointly financed research.
Julie Bomholt is one of the students at Nano-Science Center who is writing her master thesis in collaboration with a company. She collaborates with the Danish company Chr. Hansen investigating molecular interactions between milk proteins and enzymes, which hopefully will help produce better dairy products.
In addition, the Tech Transfer Unit at the University of Copenhagen can guide both businesses and researchers. The Unit can also assist the collaborative partners in securing contracts so that they are entered in with an eye for both parties interests and rights.
