The scientific aim of the research within the Danish-Chinese Center for Molecular Nano-Electronics is to develop new insight and devices with novel advanced functions and allowing better control of the supramolecular organization of electronic materials.
The last decade molecular electronics has emerged as an alternative to silicon based consumer electronics, and the first primitive devices have already reached the market place in form of printable light-emitting screens. The emerging field of ”molecular electronics” provides the first weak link between electronic functions, as we know it from computers or silicon based solar cells, and molecular or polymeric materials as they are ultimately found in biology.
The scientific aim of the research within the Danish-Chinese Center for Molecular Nano-Electronic will be addressed through three challenges organized into three work packages.
