Study Nanoscience at University of Copenhagen!

The bachelor and masters programme in Nanoscience at The University of Copenhagen offers courses are some of the first in the world. Since September 2002 students began a complete interdisciplinary bachelor and masters education here in Copenhagen.

The interdisciplinary area covered by the terms "nanoscience" and "nanotechnology" will have a great influence on future scientific and technological development all over the world. Nanotechnology and Nanoscience deals with understanding and utilising nano scale structures.

The basic education includes both physics, chemistry and biology, but nano systems are at the forefront from the very beginning. The education opens the door to many opportunities: With a bachelor degree it is possible to continue studying and become cand.scient. or PhD in nanoscience. It is also possible to switch to one of the classic masters educations like biochemistry, human biology, chemistry, bioinformatics or physics.

Students with a degree in Nanoscience are much-coveted on the job market both in Denmark and abroad. The knowledge offered by nanoscience is going to be important in all fields of technology in the future.

As an international student at Nano-Science Center you will be a part of one of the research groups where English is the day-to-day language. You can read more about the research groups in the left coulum.
