Nano-Science Center adds new angle
March 30 Minister for Environment Connie Hedegaard opens new reseach division, NanoGeoScience at Nano-Sceince Center. Head of NanoGeoScience Susan Stipp gives her inaugural lecture as professor. At the opening dirctor of The High-Technology Foundation Carsten Gaarn-Larsen and chairman of Nano-Science Center Thomas Bjørnholm will also give a speech.
The new division has received DKK 25.5 million from the High-Technology Foundation for the project "winning more oil from the lime", which builds on basic research and the possibilities for optimising oil extraction in the North Sea. Two other research projects are handling the refuse-problems and securing our drinking water
The team behind NanoGeoScience, consists of 30-40 researchers, engineers and students working together across fields of physics, chemistry, biology and geology.
