New nanomedicine to be transported via the lymphatic system

Many types of cancers including breast, lung, prostate and colon cancer, invades as a first stage of their development in the lymphatic system, which is a complex network of lymph nodes, and thin-walled capillaries. In a new research project including Moien Moghimi as on of the leading scientists the scientists will examine the lymph system to see if it can be used as a gateway for effective drug delivery of nanoparticles containing chemotherapeutic and / or diagnostic agents.

The project is supported with 5.5 MDKK from The Danish Council for Independent Research for Technology and Production.
