Kasper Moth-Poulsen group leader at Chalmers

The former PhD and post doc at Nano-Science Center is about to start his own research group in materials chemistry Chalmers in Gothenburg, Sweden.

For the time being Kasper is working as post doc at the University of Berkeley in California, where he is studying isomeric chemical bonds, intended to save solar energy for later use. At Chalmers he plans to work on similar problems. His new group will study ways to convert solar energy into chemical energy, for example by developing molecules that use solar energy in the production of ethanol.

“It’s not every day you see a job posted, where you get to start your own research group, so I was definitely interested when I saw it”, tells Kasper on the phone from California. Kasper Moth Poulsen starts work in Chalmers on January first 2011.
