Award for Prof. Dimitrios Stamou

Dimitrios Stamou was awarded the annual Biotechnology Award for young researchers by The Danish Society for BioChemistry and Molecular Biology and Dansk Bioteknologisk Selskab. Dimitrios Stamou will receive the award at an event on October 8 at Hanover Auditorium, Panum Institute, University of Copenhagen. Dimitrios receives the award because of his work on the nanoscale properties of biological membranes and their and use for screening and sensing applications.

Prof. Dimitrios Stamou is head of the Bio-Nanotechnology Laboratory at the Nano-Science Center and the Department of Neuroscience and Pharmacology, and co-director of The Lundbeck Foundation Center for Biomembranes in Nanomedicine at the Faculty of Health Sciences.
